Mason City, Iowa: SIP-1111™ in a 45% RAP Mix Comparison

The Mason City demonstration results compare a 45% RAP design with SIP-1111™ against a matched 45% RAP TuffTrek design. The SIP-1111™ design reports the higher CT Index and DCT fracture energy in that comparison.

Reported high-RAP comparison

In the source deck’s 45% RAP summary comparison, the SIP-1111™ design reports a Cracking Tolerance Index of 119.4 and DCT fracture energy of 490.67 J/m². The TuffTrek design reports CT Index 101.54 and DCT fracture energy of 363 J/m². Higher values indicate stronger cracking-test response for both measures.

The deck also reports a 35% RAP control at CT Index 104.22 and DCT fracture energy 480.33 J/m². That control uses a different binder and RAP design, so the direct high-RAP product comparison remains the two 45% RAP designs.

What the result means

Mason City gives producers a direct, same-RAP comparison between SIP-1111™ and another recycling-agent design. The result pairs 45% recycled content with stronger reported values in two complementary cracking tests.
